The highly anticipated Forza Motorsport game, showcased at gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany, has thrilled fans with some major announcements. During the event, developers revealed thrilling new features, partnerships, and a release date that’s sure to get racing enthusiasts revved up.

One of the most exciting revelations is that the renowned Nürburgring GP circuit will be available in Forza Motorsport right from its launch date, set for 10 October 2023. As part of their ongoing commitment to providing fresh content post-launch, developers have confirmed that the iconic Nordschleife track, spanning a staggering 12.9 miles (20.83 km), will make its way into the game in Spring 2024. Both tracks have been painstakingly rebuilt to harness the full power of the Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Forza fans attending gamescom have been treated to an immersive experience at the Forza Motorsport theatre from 24 August 2023 through 27 August 2023. Attendees have had the privilege of witnessing the heart-pounding racing action featured in the game’s new single-player career mode, the Builders Cup. In a special presentation, gameplay footage showcased a thrilling race involving high-performance German sedans competing at the prestigious Mugello Circuit.

Porsche enthusiasts and Xbox aficionados have something extra to celebrate. In commemoration of Porsche’s 75th anniversary and their partnership with Xbox and the Forza franchise, fans admired a custom-wrapped 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S accompanied by six custom Xbox Series X consoles.

For PC players eager to dive into the world of Forza Motorsport, the good news is that pre-orders are open now on Steam. Those who pre-purchase the Premium Edition can rev up their engines and hit the virtual tracks five days early, starting from 05 October 2023. With the introduction of cross-play for online matchmaking and cross-save functionality, players can seamlessly race with friends across PC and console. For the first time, players can continue their racing journey on both Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with shared progression and achievement unlocks.

The developers have spared no effort in optimizing Forza Motorsport for PC, ensuring it looks and plays spectacularly across a wide range of PCs. The game takes full advantage of cutting-edge PC hardware and technologies, boasting real-time ray tracing on-track and delivering maximum performance thanks to NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.2. Post-launch, developers remain committed to ongoing optimization and improvement for the PC version.

With native support for resolutions up to 4K and beyond, including ultrawide resolutions during on-track gameplay, HDR calibration, shader pre-compilation, and pre-caching, DirectStorage for improved CPU loading, unlocked single-player framerates with or without V-Sync enabled, and much more, PC players are in for a visually stunning and technically advanced racing experience.

Forza Motorsport’s support for popular racing wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec, as well as the DirectInput API on PC, means players can use a wide range of hardware. This level of device extensibility ensures that Forza Motorsport is accessible to more players who employ custom hardware setups.

For those using Xbox controllers, the game boasts rumble vibration, while wheel users will appreciate the improved force-feedback feature. Advanced wheel functionality displays RPM, shift lights, and race data on custom screens, providing an immersive and dynamic racing experience.

As the excitement continues to build around Forza Motorsport, fans can hardly wait to hit the virtual track and experience the thrill of racing like never before when the game launches on 10 October 2023. With an array of enhancements and partnerships, this latest installment promises to be an adrenaline-fueled ride for gamers and motorsport enthusiasts alike.
