Dearest Sec. Mar Roxas and Sec. Joseph Emilio Abaya,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you both on your recent appointment to lead the DILG and DOTC, respectively. In my personal humble opinion, both of you are worthy to be placed in those key offices based on your track records.

Being a citizen of this country who religiously pays taxes, I have several concerns that I would like to convey to you …

1. How can we curve, if not eradicate, vehicles without valid licensed plates displayed both in front and rear of their vehicles from plying the streets of Metro Manila (at least)? Here’s an example of what I am referring to (photo taken at SM Mall of Asia Open Parking Area last 01 Sep 2012 at around 1000H):

2. I thought that there is an existing embargo for government vehicles to be used during weekends (unless necessary), moreover if these vehicles are being used for personal purposes? On behalf of all citizens and taxpayers of this country, WE DEMAND for an explanation why this vehicle (plate number SJR290; Mitsubishi SUV) is parked at the SM Mall of Asia last Saturday, 01 Sep 2012 at around 1133H? To whom or what agency is the vehicle assigned to?

3. Lastly, what can we do with the LGU Traffic Enforcers who are simply dumb and don’t know what their job is all about? Sec. Abaya, if you will notice the photo below, you will find 03 sets of PNP personnel riding motorcycles (1) without helmets; and (2) without valid licensed plate numbers. How can we trust and respect police personnel such as these guys? Isn’t that the Chief PNP’s very first directive when he assumed into office was related to the use of helmets for all PNP personnel riding motorcycles? Whatever happened to that?!

Will appreciate your responses the soonest possible time so that I may update my blog readers. Thank you!

(Email sent to Sec. Mar Roxas, Sec. Joseph Emilio Abaya, and Office of the President last 04 Sep 2012.)
