The atmosphere was electrifying at the SM North EDSA Cyberzone as Made in Philippines (MIPH) and Oasis Gaming secured victories in Dota 2 and VALORANT, respectively, during the Predator League 2024 Philippine Finals last 11 to 12 November 2023. These wins not only earned the team’s prestigious Predator Shields but also the privilege of representing the Philippines at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals set for 13 to 14 January 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

In the Dota 2 grand final, MIPH faced formidable opponents in Smurfers, who had previously executed a stunning 2-1 reverse sweep against Neon Esports led by Wong “ChuaN” Hock Chuan and Ryan “Raging Potato” Qui. MIPH showcased their prowess with a masterful 2-0 sweep of InterActive Philippines in the semifinals. The grand final saw Made in Philippines securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Smurfers, claiming both the title and the PHP250,000 cash prize, while the runner-up received PHP100,000. Neon Esports and InterActive Philippines were each awarded PHP55,000 for their efforts.

In the VALORANT championship, Oasis Gaming displayed resilience by overcoming a 1-0 deficit against NAOS Esports in the semifinals, ultimately winning the series 2-1. ZOL Esports faced off against Valhalla in a thrilling three-game slugfest to reach the final against Oasis Gaming. However, Oasis Gaming emerged victorious with a 2-0 sweep, securing the championship title along with a PHP250,000 cash prize. The runner-up, ZOL Esports, received PHP100,000, while NAOS Esports and Valhalla each took home PHP55,000.

As Made in Philippines and Oasis Gaming gear up for the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals in January, they anticipate fierce competition from regional powerhouses such as Blacklist International, Execration, and the defending champions, Polaris Esports, in Dota 2. Additionally, Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports will face the Filipino-led Team Secret, a highly respected team in the VCT Pacific League.

The stage is set for an intense showdown at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, where 26 teams from across the Asia Pacific region will battle for the coveted title of the next APAC Predator League champions.
