Acer has introduced the Acer Connect Vero W6m mesh router, marking its debut into eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E routers. This router stands out for its utilization of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials in its chassis and its inclusion of an Eco mode that promotes energy efficiency. Powered by a powerful quad-core 2 GHz processor, it offers a comprehensive set of features for improved connectivity, wider coverage, and enhanced security. The device supports Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band AXE7800 capability and complies with the Cyber Security Standards of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) EN 303 645 articles 3.3.

Acer’s inaugural eco-friendly router that combines Wi-Fi 6E capabilities with adherence to the European Commission’s Radio Equipment Directive security standards. With support for Wi-Fi 6E Triband (2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz) AXE7800 throughput, this router delivers lightning-fast and stable internet connections, reaching speeds of up to 7.8 Gbps. The device can be paired with up to 4 units and boasts impressive network coverage of up to 465 m² on a dual mesh system and up to 930 m² on a quad mesh system, ensuring no dead spots in larger areas.

Powered by a cutting-edge quad-core 2 GHz A53 processor, 1 GB LPDDR RAM, and 4 GB memory capacity, the Acer Connect Vero W6m is designed to meet high-bandwidth demands effortlessly. Data protection and security are paramount for the new Vero router, as it is the first Wi-Fi 6E mesh router to pass the EU EN 303 645 (RED) Cyber Security Standards. It also incorporates a dedicated WPS button for effortless network security setups. The router is further optimized with intelligent device/application recognition and standard LAN and WAN ports for increased connection flexibility.

Acer’s commitment to the environment shines through in the design of the Acer Connect Vero W6m. The device features a chassis made of 30% PCR plastic and is coated with a cobblestone gray finish, giving it a minimalist and compact aesthetic that seamlessly blends into any home or office setup. The router also prioritizes energy efficiency with its dedicated Eco mode, which manages the power consumption of the router and connected devices by regulating their sleep time and data frequency distribution. Acer uses 100% recyclable paper for the packaging, further demonstrating its dedication to reducing CO2 emissions.
