The President of the Republic of the Philippines issued Proclamation No. 295 last 24 Nov 2011 declaring the following dates in the year 2012 to be Non-working Holidays all throughout the country:

Regular Holidays

  • 01 Jan 2012 – New Year’s Day
  • 05 Apr 2012 – Maundy Thursday
  • 06 Apr 2012 – Good Friday
  • 09 Apr 2012 – Araw ng Kagitingan
  • 01 May 2012 – Labor Day
  • 12 Jun 2012 – Independence Day
  • 27 Aug 2012 – National Heroes Day
  • 30 Nov 2012 – Bonifacio Day
  • 25 Dec 2012 – Christmas Day
  • 30 Dec 2012 – Rizal Day

Special Non-working Days

  • 23 Jan 2012 – Chinese New Year
  • 21 Aug 2012 – Ninoy Aquino Day
  • 01 Nov 2012 – All Saints Day
  • 02 Nov 2012 – All Souls Day (additional special non-working day)
  • 31 Dec 2012 – Last Day of the Year

Special Holiday (for all schools)

  • 25 Feb 2012 – EDSA Revolution Anniversary

 

The Proclamation did not state the exact dates when Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha will be observed, as both are movable holidays that are dependent on the Muslim calendar.
