TCL, the renowned consumer electronics brand and the world’s second-largest TV brand has joined forces with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in an impactful collaboration. The partnership aims to enhance the learning experience for TESDA Technology Institution (TTI) beneficiaries in the National Capital Region (NCR) while promoting eco-friendly practices.

“With this collaboration, we hope that we can inspire greatness among the TESDA training facilities and to bring forth more inspiration for everyone. Looking forward to more partnerships like this in the future,” according to Eric Li, TCL Product Manager for Washing Machine and Refrigerator.

The collaboration was solidified through the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), attended by TCL and TESDA-NCR officials and representatives. As part of the initiative, the brand generously donated the latest TCL AAT Inverter+ Refrigerators and essential training supplies to TESDA.

Coinciding with the celebration of Nutrition Month this July, the partnership’s primary focus is to extend assistance to TESDA’s training programs related to food processing and domestic work. The newest TCL AAT Inverter+ Refrigerators exemplify the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge home technology at affordable prices while promoting healthier, more environmentally friendly, and practical lifestyles for consumers.

“TESDA is very fortunate to accidentally stumble upon TCL and welcome this promising partnership, which came at the most opportune time. TCL’s donation for equipment and tools to our TESDA Training Institutions will be very useful as they deliver quality TVET trainings through our community-based approach in NCR. Rest assured that we will put it to good use and will greatly benefit our intended beneficiaries. This is just a start of our lasting and exciting partnership, We look forward to more collaboration and engagement with TCL in the days to come,” said Niña Connie G. Dodd, TESDA Manila District Director.

The donation was made to seven (07) TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) in the NCR:

  1. TESDA Navotas Training Institute (TNTI)
  2. TESDA Manila Training and Assessment Center (TMTAC)
  3. TESDA Pamamarisan Training and Assessment Center (TPTAC)
  4. TESDA Pasay-Makati District Training and Assessment Center (PMDTAC)
  5. Quezon City Lingkod Bayan Skills Development Center (QCLBSDC)
  6. MUNTIPARLAS-TAPAT District Training and Assessment Center (MDTAC)
  7. TESDA-NCR Regional Training Center (TESDA-NCR RTC)

TCL’s forward-thinking approach also includes plans for more collaborations with other training centers in the near future. Their commitment extends beyond providing educational assistance; they also seek to give back to the community and support Filipinos, which has undoubtedly contributed to their status as a global leader in the electronics industry.

“We at TCL are always happy to give assistance to our fellow Filipinos. We always look for ways on how to help in any way we can. Through this CSR Project collaboration with TESDA, we hope that we can bring new hope to more people to uplift their livelihood. If not for the support of the people, we won’t be achieving our current standing among the subsidiaries in this region,” said Joseph Cernitchez, Brand Manager for TCL Philippines.

With TCL’s innovative and eco-conscious products, coupled with TESDA’s dedication to skills development, this partnership holds the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of many individuals and communities in the NCR. As both entities continue to work together, they aim to foster a brighter future by empowering individuals through education and sustainable technology.
