Being true to their commitment to promoting financial inclusion, savings mobilization, and service to the Filipino people during this pandemic, RCBC is waiving InstaPay money transfer fees until the end of 2021 via the DiskarTech app. The waiver of InstaPay fees applies to both interbank transfers and eWallet funding transactions from now until the end of December 2021.

DiskarTech is an all-in-one online banking service that lets its depositors save, send money, pay bills, and purchase prepaid loads with the use of a mobile app. During a recent media roundtable, the company shared that through its “Ipon Galing” initiatives, they saw a 135% increase in deposit transactions since the community quarantine restrictions were implemented by the Philippine government.

“This is part and parcel of our advocacy towards financial education and digital literacy. We are also having a partnership and collaboration with the Credit Information Corporation in educating the public, especially the unbanked and underserved segment of the population, on the relevance of credit scores and how we can create credit profiles so that they be able to enjoy a much higher loanable amount and a much lower interest rate,” according to Lito “Mr. DiskarTech” Villanueva, Executive Vice-President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer of RCBC.

Claiming as the world’s first and only Taglish and Cebuano inclusion super app, DiskarTech users enjoy earning a 3.25% interest per year with no minimum deposit balance required to earn interest.

Villanueva also shared that RCBC Diskartech has recently partnered with the DOLE, OWWA, POEA, SSS, and DepEd to fasttrack the disbursement of members and employee benefits, as well as to cut the processing time for loan proceeds to reach intended recipients.

Mr. DiskarTech said that they will be launching around eleven (11) loan product types after this month within the app to serve as a Loans Marketplace for Filipinos to have a wide variety of choices for their financial requirements.

The RCBC DiskarTech app is available for Android devices via the Google Play Store and for iOS devices via the Apple App Store.
