In the age of high definition (HD) screens, most computers particularly laptops still come out with a 720p webcam by default. Although one can live with a 720p webcam for daily web conferencing use, we can only aspire to have better quality images.

Rapoo Technology (RAPOO) introduces the Rapoo C260 1080p webcam just in time for this school year to make homeschooling and online learning better with the best visual experience possible.

Powered by a USB Plug and Play (no drivers required on modern operating systems) interface, the Rapoo C260 is the ultimate HD webcam that even non-techies can use and setup at no time. This 1080P computer camera comes with a full high-definition lens that intelligently adjusts its frame rate and resolution according to ambient light — supplying true-to-life video even in dim lighting conditions. The input device has a 95-degree super wide-angle lens that captures more vivid images allowing more details to be seen within the frame.

Aside from capturing awesome video and still images, the Rapoo C260 has a built-in omnidirectional microphone that makes your voice appear clearer and crisper, eliminating the need for a separate microphone setup during videoconferences and live stream sessions.

The Rapoo C260 sitting comfortably even on laptops with thin edges.

Mounting the web camera is so easy. It can be mounted directly on top of most monitors and laptops, or screw the unit on a tripod, as it comes with a standard tripod socket at the bottom plate. It allows up to 360 degrees of horizontal rotation for both upper and lower viewing angles to be freely adjusted within a specific position to meet most needs.

To test the image quality produced by the Rapoo C260, I tried using it on the Zoom app with a ring light positioned to bounce its illumination from a wall in front of me. I am impressed with the quality of video image it produces, pretty much comparable to what my Logitech C615 is currently producing.
