Filipino sports enthusiasts are in for a treat as PLDT Home, the leading telecommunications and digital services provider in the Philippines, brings an exhilarating experience to the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Manila Leg, currently taking place at the prestigious SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The VNL, an esteemed annual volleyball tournament organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), has captivated the hearts of fans worldwide. This year, the competition is being fiercely contested by a total of 16 teams, with eight of the best squads gracing the shores of the Philippines. World number one Poland, number three Italy, number four Brazil, number six Japan, number eight Slovenia, number eleven Netherlands, number sixteen Canada, and number twenty-three China have come together to showcase their exceptional skills on the volleyball court.

“We would like to thank PLDT as an important partner for the Volleyball Men’s Nations League Manila leg. They have helped bring unparalleled access to the fans wanting a piece of volleyball action. They have been a reliable partner from the start, and they have brought opportunities for fans who are not in the venue to be able to watch the world’s best,” according to Ramon “Tats” Suzara, President of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).

The stakes are high as these elite teams vie for a coveted spot in the final round, scheduled to be held in Gdansk, Poland, from 19 to 23 July 2023. Only the top eight (08) teams in the standings will advance to compete in this ultimate showdown of volleyball prowess.

To enhance the experience for Filipino fans, PLDT Home has gone the extra mile, offering an opportunity for fans to interact with their favorite volleyball stars. Members of the Premier Volleyball League squad, PLDT High Speed Hitters, including seasoned setter Rhea Dimaculangan, Jovie Prado, Michelle Morente, Kath Arado, and others, graced the PLDT booth inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Fans were delighted to have special moments and meet their beloved volleyball players in person, adding a personal touch to the PLDT experience.

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to uplifting Philippine sports, PLDT continues to support various high-level international sporting events held in the country. The Volleyball Nations League is just one of many endeavors undertaken by PLDT, with the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup also on the horizon.

As PLDT Home powers the Volleyball Nations League Manila Leg, Filipino sports fans are being treated to an unforgettable spectacle of skill, passion, and camaraderie. With PLDT’s unwavering support, Philippine sports are reaching new heights and leaving an indelible mark on the global stage.
