The groundbreaking Health & Wellness CONFEX 2024 is set to happen from 26 to 28 January 2024 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Branded as a transformative experience, the three-day event will bring together key players in the multi-trillion-dollar health and wellness industry. Participants will range from award-winning wellness resorts to globally accredited hospitals offering medical tourism packages, alongside organic farms and specialty shops featuring innovative, sustainable, and eco-friendly health and wellness products and services.
Under the theme “Go & Get Better,” the CONFEX underscores the promotion of regenerative tourism, advocating for a commitment to leaving destinations in a better state than found and balancing economic growth with social and environmental responsibility.
This event is the focal point of a comprehensive global multimedia campaign aimed at showcasing the country’s diverse health and wellness destinations. The CONFEX will incorporate an exhibit, a conference, business matching sessions, and experiential activities, distinguishing itself as the only trade fair in the Philippines dedicated to health and wellness tourism, products, and services.
One of the highlights will be the launch of an innovative television travel show-vlog, “OTW” (On Travel & Wellness), airing on GMA 7’s GTV. This 13-episode series will virtually transport viewers to the Philippines’ scenic wonders while emphasizing the importance of well-being and active lifestyles. Through engaging anecdotes and discussions with regional experts, the show will delve into the nation’s diverse wellness practices, including traditional healing arts.
The event’s third day will host the Masigabo Wellness Festival, celebrating the contributions and sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). The festival will feature a range of programs and activities designed to provide relaxation and support for OFWs. Health and wellness experts will conduct talks on various topics, including financial health, physical wellness, beauty, sustainability, environmental protection, and government regulations.
Co-presented by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), Duty-Free Philippines (DFP), and Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the Health & Wellness CONFEX 2024 is a collaborative effort aimed at driving the Philippines to the forefront of the global health and wellness landscape.
The visionary behind this initiative is a team of seasoned event organizers, wellness advocates, travel and tour agencies, and marketing and communication professionals, led by the country’s wellness guru, Cory Quirino, who serves as the Executive Director.
