Lamudi Philippines is now officially certified as a Great Place to Work®. The real estate platform was recognized based on a survey that evaluated employees’ perceptions of the office culture. A total of 150 workers participated in the poll with 85% reported that Lamudi is a great place to work in.

The corporate culture of Lamudi is deemed excellent in the area of Justice, garnering a top score of 92%. The majority of employees believe that people in Lamudi are treated fairly regardless of gender, among other factors evaluated.

The Great Place to Work® certification follows a rigorous process, which primarily involves a research-backed employee survey called the Trust Index.

A Diverse, Inclusive Lamudian Workplace

The company’s Great Place to Work® certification is a testament to the high level of trust and overall happiness employees experience within the firm.

“We always strive to create a positive environment for Lamudians, where they feel respected, heard, seen, and celebrated. Everyone is important in the team and we truly live our core values, especially, we go far, together,” according to Ashima Lamba, HR Director at Lamudi.

The past celebrations of Pride Month at Lamudi were festivities of self-expression, from lip-syncing battles to catwalk and makeover challenges to colorful social media posts.

“Such changes came with challenges, especially for us at the human resources department. But I can proudly say that our team stepped up and became more determined to engage employees and give them the support they need,” said Justine Rose Justo, HR Business Partner at Lamudi adding that amid the changes brought by the pandemic, the Lamudian workplace underwent a change as well. Homes became offices, and gatherings took place virtually.

In January 2021, Lamudi formed its own Employee Engagement Committee. The group consists of representatives from across departments and levels leading initiatives within their team and actively supporting company-wide activities. Even at the height of the pandemic last year, Lamudi exerted aggressive efforts in doubling its manpower in response to more property seekers turning online.

Impact of Lamudi Culture

The positive workplace culture within Lamudi extends to its external stakeholders. In May 2020, a few months after the first lockdown was implemented in the country, Lamudi Philippines joined Indonesia, Mexico, and Lamudi Global in an international plank relay challenge called Planking Beyond Borders for COVID-19.

While promoting a healthy lifestyle amid the pandemic, the virtual event allowed Lamudi to give to a charity. The Philippines won, bringing home US$5,000, which was donated to Habitat for Humanity.

In 2021, also in celebration of the yuletide season, Lamudi presented the opportunity for partners to donate to Typhoon Odette victims. The donations were coursed through the Philippine Red Cross and Caritas Manila. Typhoon victims within the company were also given aid.
