In a bid to bolster economic opportunities and simplify logistics for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as local farmers, Lalamove has announced its expansion into the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

With a focus on providing accessible and cost-effective same-day delivery services both within and outside the region, Lalamove aims to facilitate growth and empowerment within CAR communities.

Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines, highlighted the significance of the company’s presence in the region, particularly in Baguio City and Benguet. He underscored the potential for MSMEs to thrive and emphasized the flexible earning opportunities available to aspiring Lalamove partner drivers.

“In just a few taps using the app, users no longer have to go out of the house to pick up or drop off their packages – whether for personal errands or business needs. Lalamove can do that for them. More than this, the app also functions as an accessible source of livelihood for those in need of jobs by joining the Lalamove partner driver community,” according to Nacario.

The inauguration of the Lalamove Partner Driver Center in Baguio City marks a pivotal moment in the company’s expansion efforts. This center will serve as a hub for individuals interested in becoming partner drivers, offering guidance and support to kickstart their journey.

Lalamove recently opened its Partner Driver Hub in Baguio City to connect its services in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), with Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Department of Transportation-CAR Asst. Regional Director Atty. Jose V. Villacorta alongside Lalamove Philippines Managing Director Djon Nacario.

Nacario stressed that Lalamove’s commitment extends beyond mere connectivity, with partner drivers gaining access to a range of benefits through the Panalomove program, enhancing their overall experience and earnings potential.

Central to Lalamove’s mission is the concept of “simplified deliveries,” which prioritizes convenience and affordability. Residents of Baguio City and Benguet can now access efficient same-day and long-distance delivery services, connecting them seamlessly with customers across Luzon.

The collaboration between Lalamove and local authorities, notably Baguio City Mayor Benjamin “Benjie” Magalong, signals a promising partnership aimed at fostering innovation and economic prosperity. Mayor Magalong expressed optimism about the prospects for growth, envisioning a future where businesses thrive and communities prosper.

“More than a delivery platform connecting users and MSMEs with partner drivers, Lalamove will work hand-in-hand with Mayor Magalong to empower farmers and cooperatives through innovative logistics solutions, further paving the way for digital inclusion for the agricultural sector,” said Mayor Magalong.

In alignment with efforts to revitalize the region’s agriculture sector, Mayor Magalong recently endorsed Resolution No. 685, series of 2023, reaffirming the commitment to supporting local farmers and implementing sustainable development initiatives.
