Huawei has seen remarkable progress in the past year, particularly in the global high-end wearable, audio, tablet, PC, and smartphone markets. The release of flagship products like the HUAWEI Mate 60 Series and HUAWEI Mate X5 in 2023 solidified Huawei’s position as a major player in the high-end market. Counterpoint Research’s report revealed Huawei secured a 5% market share in the global high-end smartphone market in 2023, ranking third among all brands. The company also dominated the Chinese market with the highest smartphone sales volume in the first two weeks of 2024.

The “Fashion Forward” exhibition zone at MWC highlighted Huawei’s dedication to building a high-end fashion-forward brand. With investments in research and development, Huawei strives to set new design standards for each product, leading the industry in fashion trends.

A key focus for Huawei is the use of premium materials, unique design language, and advanced manufacturing techniques. For instance, the HUAWEI Mate 60 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN incorporates rare earth elements in its red ceramics sintering process, resulting in a vibrant red body. The HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN is Huawei’s first-ever gold smartwatch, featuring 18K gold and Zirconium-based Liquid metal. Meanwhile, the HUAWEI FreeClip introduces the C-bridge Design for durability and stability, offering a refreshing and original look.

Huawei’s commitment to aesthetics is evident with Aesthetics Research Centers in Paris, Milan, and London, which provide insights into diverse design trends globally. These centers facilitate continuous technological and design advancements, offering consumers unique aesthetic experiences.

In the Fitness & Health exhibition zone, Huawei’s smart wearables showcased breakthroughs in health management and science-based workouts. With over 800 smart wearable patent applications, Huawei’s TruSeen™ vital sign monitoring technology positions it as a major player in the industry. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 4, launched in 2023, emerged as Huawei’s best-selling smartwatch, with global shipments exceeding 2.5 million units in three months.

Huawei’s focus on core health challenges such as sleep, blood pressure, and mental health management in 2024 aims to provide more accurate and comprehensive health management solutions for global consumers.

The brand’s flagship tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2″, showcased at MWC 2024, garnered significant attention. Launched in 2023, it supports NearLink technology and works seamlessly with the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation) for an unparalleled digital creation experience.

Digital creation remains a key area of investment for Huawei in 2024, with a focus on PaperMatte Display and NearLink technology. The GoPaint Activity, a global initiative for digital creators, will expand its reach to cover more countries and regions, further establishing Huawei as a global force in the digital art community.

Huawei’s achievements in mobile imaging were underscored with the launch of the XMAGE brand, covering optical systems, imaging technology, and image processing. Equipped with flagship products like the HUAWEI Mate 60 Series, Huawei aims to inspire users worldwide to capture and share the beauty around them through smartphone photography.

As Huawei steps into 2024, the company’s commitment to breaking boundaries and making high-end, fashion-forward, and technology-driven products accessible globally sets the stage for a critical year of innovation. Increased investment in R&D reinforces Huawei’s determination to set new benchmarks in the industry.
