The future of smart mobility is on the horizon as Gogoro Philippines prepares to unveil the Gogoro Experience Center (GEC) in Makati City, marking its inaugural retail presence in the country. This immersive facility promises to offer a sneak peek into the forthcoming era of intelligent electric mobility.

Situated on the second floor of Greenbelt 4, Makati Avenue, Ayala Center, the GEC is slated to open its doors on 07 November 2023, signifying a pivotal step preceding the commencement of Gogoro’s commercial operations in the Philippines. It aspires to be a space where consumers can deeply immerse themselves in the universe of Gogoro Smartscooters® and the innovative battery-swapping GoStations — a personal transportation ecosystem that revolutionizes the approach to powering mobility.

“We are very excited to open our first retail space in the Philippines as we gear up to roll out Gogoro in Metro Manila. As we count the days down to the grand opening of our Gogoro Experience Center, we are getting ready to welcome visitors and to give them an unforgettable taste of the future of transport,” according to Bernie Llamzon, President of Gogoro Philippines.

Gogoro Philippines has also introduced its brand-new website, www.gogoro.com/ph, which will be mirrored on LED screens within the GEC. This digital platform will be further amplified through dynamic graphic animations on Gogoro’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Gogoro Philippines is the result of a strategic partnership between Globe Group‘s 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Taiwan’s Gogoro. This collaborative endeavor brings Gogoro’s cutting-edge technology to the Philippines as a cleaner and more sustainable transportation option — a concept that has achieved remarkable success in Taiwan, where it all began.

With a network of battery-swapping stations that outnumber traditional gas stations in Taiwanese cities, the Gogoro Network has seamlessly integrated into the urban landscape. Currently supporting nearly 550,000 riders and boasting over 1.1 million intelligent batteries in circulation, the network has facilitated more than 480 million total battery swaps, resulting in the reduction of over 680,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Gogoro Philippines represents Globe Group’s initial venture into climate technology, underscoring its commitment to promoting eco-friendly transportation solutions in the Philippines. This strategic partnership aspires to offer accessible and inclusive intelligent, eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Previously, Gogoro conducted a successful pilot test of Gogoro Smartscooters® with Globe employees, whose valuable insights contributed to refining the product ahead of commercial deployment. In addition, Gogoro is in the process of expanding its network of GoStations following the inauguration of the battery-swapping infrastructure at The Globe Tower in Taguig City.
