Aimed at fostering community growth and innovation within the WordPress ecosystem, GoDaddy is one of the proud sponsors of WordCamp Asia 2024. The event took place from 07 to 09 March 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan, and stands as a cornerstone for WordPress enthusiasts globally, offering a platform for networking, learning, and collaboration.

WordCamp Asia is renowned for its ability to bring together a diverse array of WordPress users, developers, designers, and enthusiasts. As a leading provider of web hosting and domain services, GoDaddy recognizes the importance of supporting initiatives that drive the growth and development of the WordPress community.

Attendees of WordCamp Asia 2024 had an engaging experience at the GoDaddy Booth, featuring interactive demonstrations, arcade-style games, and enticing giveaways. The booth showcased GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress products and services, highlighting their role in empowering WordPress users to create, manage, and optimize their websites with ease.

“As a WordCamp Global Community Sponsor, GoDaddy’s commitment extends to various WordPress community programs, including local WordCamps, WordPress Chapter Meetup groups and other community activities. GoDaddy believes in the power of a community to help empower individuals and businesses to succeed online,” according to Selina Bieber, Vice President for International Markets at GoDaddy.

One of the focal points of GoDaddy’s participation at WordCamp Asia was its demonstration of Managed WordPress plans, boasting innovative features such as AI-powered onboarding. This technology streamlines the website creation process by leveraging artificial intelligence to generate tailored design options based on user input, resulting in faster publishing and enriched content experiences.

WordCamp Asia featured a dedicated “Contributor Day,” wherein attendees actively engaged in the open-source development of WordPress. GoDaddy staff were on-site to address inquiries from customers and provide insights into the company’s commitment to supporting the WordPress ecosystem.

WordPress, powering approximately 45% of all websites on the internet, continues to be a driving force in web development due to its user-friendly interface and extensive plugin ecosystem. In 2023 alone, 77 WordCamps were held worldwide, accompanied by over 3,300 WordPress meetups, underscoring the platform’s vibrant and growing community.
