International SOS, a global security and health expert, warns organizations to brace for new risks despite declining pandemic-related threats in 2023. In its Risk Outlook 2023 report and Global Risk Map, the company highlights major risks that could impact organizations’ productivity.

The report, based on a survey of 1,218 senior risk professionals from 108 countries and data from countries with varying levels of risk, indicates that global risks could result in employees facing cost-of-living and security challenges. The report also emphasizes the need for organizational leaders to support employees in the face of ‘perma-crisis’ events.

Some of these risks include intensifying geopolitical tensions, such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict, rising social unrest, and the continued effects of climate change on health and disease.

International SOS advises organizations to stay informed and proactive by using accurate information, preparing their teams for perma-crisis, and planning for unexpected risks. They should also prioritize mental health in the workplace and address the impact of climate change.
