917Ventures, the corporate venture builder of the Globe Group, has selected Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), a subsidiary of the Asticom Group of Companies, to oversee the deployment and maintenance of the first-ever Gogoro® battery-swapping platform for its Smartscooters® in the Philippines. FINSI’s engineering and technology expertise qualifies it as an ideal partner to manage site selection, acquisition, and engineering for the initial seven GoStations in the National Capital Region. Last 24 April 2023, the first GoStation was revealed at the Globe Tower, which is Globe’s headquarters in the Bonifacio Global City.

“I am delighted to announce our partnership with 917Ventures to bring Gogoro to the Philippines. As a company committed to delivering leading-edge solutions that drive progress and success for local businesses and communities in today’s digital world, we are honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the country’s drive towards a sustainable transportation system,” according to Marc Kerveillant, General Manager of FINSI.

In the Philippines, 917Ventures, Ayala Corporation, and Gogoro have collaborated to introduce the Gogoro Smartscooters® and GoStation ecosystem as a more efficient transportation option. These electric vehicles operate on Gogoro’s battery-swapping platform, which allows users to exchange depleted batteries for fully-charged ones in a matter of seconds.

Gogoro has transformed two-wheeled transportation in Taiwan, boasting over 12,000 battery-swapping stations situated in 2,260 locations. These stations serve more than 540,000 riders who perform over 400,000 battery swaps on a daily basis.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Gogoro ecosystem to the Philippines and offer our riders a convenient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional transportation. Our partnership with FINSI ensures the successful deployment and management of the Gogoro battery-swapping stations, and we’re confident that together, we can build a sustainable future for all Filipinos,” said Bernie Llamzon, Director of Globe Capital Venture Holdings Inc.

To ensure the successful implementation of the Gogoro deployment, FINSI, as a partner of 917Ventures, offers project management and implementation services, network and infrastructure management, quality and safety management, as well as facilities, asset, and materials management services.

“FINSI is a provider as committed to innovation and sustainability as 917Ventures. With our shared vision and FINSI’s expertise, we couldn’t have chosen a more suitable partner for ensuring the successful deployment of Gogoro in the Philippines,” said Vince Yamat, Managing Director of 917Ventures

Among the outstanding technology solutions in the country that 917Ventures has in its portfolio are the double unicorn GCash and the health super app KonsultaMD.

“We are thrilled to work with 917Ventures in delivering innovative solutions that improve the lives of Filipinos. Our partnership with 917Ventures and Gogoro underscores our commitment to improving the lives of our fellow Filipinos by building a sustainable future for all,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom Group of Companies.
