More than 300 employees from Monde Nissin Corporation laced up their running shoes to take part in SILAKBO 2025 (Sikad-Lakad-Takbo), an annual advocacy fun run dedicated to environmental conservation and community wellness. Held at South Evozone, Nuvali, this year’s event embraced the theme “Our Power, Our Planet,” calling for collective action to protect natural resources and support sustainable development.
Now in its 17th year, SILAKBO is organized by the Save Silang Santa Rosa River (S3R2) Foundation, in partnership with the City Government of Santa Rosa, Laguna, and Nuvali. The initiative focuses on safeguarding the Silang-Santa Rosa Sub-watershed, a critical ecological area, through awareness-building and hands-on activities such as fun runs, tree planting, and water quality monitoring.

As a long-time partner, Monde Nissin demonstrated its strong commitment to sustainability by rallying over 300 of its employees to participate in the event. The company aligned its involvement with its mission of “Making Better Possible,” integrating health, wellness, and environmental responsibility into its corporate culture.
“The event isn’t just a fun run for us. It’s about our shared commitment to the planet and each other. Monde Nissin believes in creating experiences that support our employees’ health and wellness, while also making a positive impact on the communities where we operate. This is what ‘Making Better Possible’ really means,” according to Marie Perona, Senior Manager for People and Culture at Monde Nissin.
Funds raised from SILAKBO 2025 will go towards S3R2 Foundation’s ongoing efforts to preserve watershed ecosystems, enhance water quality, and organize reforestation projects in Santa Rosa and nearby areas.
Beyond promoting physical fitness and team spirit, the event is seen as a powerful platform for aligning both public and private stakeholders in the fight for environmental sustainability. Monde Nissin’s participation highlights how corporations can leverage their influence to support long-term, impactful change for both people and the planet.
