The Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 concluded with electrifying matches as Alter Ego (VALORANT) and Myth Avenue Gaming (Dota 2) emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious Predator Shield and a prize of US$65,000 each. The sixth edition of the tournament saw intense battles among the best teams from 14 regions, solidifying its reputation as a premier esports competition.
Acer, the driving force behind the event, also announced that the next edition of the Predator League will be hosted in India. In a ceremonial handover, Acer Malaysia’s Managing Director Kon Tek Yoong passed the Predator League pennant to Acer India’s President and Managing Director Harish Kohli, underscoring the brand’s continued investment in the esports ecosystem.
One of the most thrilling moments of the tournament came during the VALORANT finals, where ZOL Esports made a stunning comeback, winning six consecutive rounds to level the score at 11:11 after being down 5:11. However, Alter Ego’s resilience and tactical play enabled them to shut down their opponents’ momentum and clinch the victory.

Meanwhile, the home crowd in Malaysia erupted in cheers as Myth Avenue Gaming dominated Team Helios in the Dota 2 Grand Finals with a commanding 2-0 win, lifting the Predator Shield in front of their enthusiastic supporters.
Beyond the main event, the tournament also recognized outstanding individual performances. Ten special awards, totaling US$20,000, were distributed through the Intel Allstar Vote, where fans selected their favorite players. Additionally, two players received the Intel MVP title, each earning US$10,000 for their exceptional gameplay.
The two-day event went beyond competitive gaming, delivering an immersive experience that celebrated esports culture. Acer introduced new elements, including the debut of exclusive champion avatars Nero and Yuffy, an animated video, and the Predator “It Lies Within” theme song in multiple languages.
Adding to the excitement, live performances from Sandara Park and Minzy of 2NE1, Malaysian artists Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and Philippine girl group G22 entertained attendees. The Coswalk Competition also drew attention, with Malaysia’s top cosplayers showcasing elaborate costumes inspired by Valkia the Bloody from Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Thanatos from Persona 3, and S.I.C. Amazon Alpha, competing for prizes from a RM25,000 pool.
