Software Freedom Day 2012 (SFD) for me will be a different one. For one, I together with my fellow Mozilla Reps (ReMo) Joell Lapitan and Kevin John Ventura will be flying to Cebu to celebrate with the FOSS community there (very first time that SFD will be held in that city).

Second, this is the very first time that I shall be attending SFD not just a member of the audience, but rather one of the speakers. Based on the Software Freedom Day Cebu Programme, I am scheduled to give the “Mozilla & the New Web Challenge” talk during the morning plenary. Joell & Kevin will be making a tandem presentation about “Firefox OS and WordPress Development” later during the breakout sessions in the afternoon.

If you’re in Cebu on the 15th and wants to attend this historical event, better get your FREE ticket here http://cebu.sfdphilippines.org. If you’re not in Cebu, you may want to checkout the 11 other SFD events that day being supported by the Mozilla Philippines Community.
