I can no longer recall when did I installed Google Calendar Sync in my Windows machine. It has served me well: synching my Microsoft Outlook (corporate) with my Google Calendar (personal; on my Android devices) and vice-versa.

Somewhat bad news to all those who uses this nifty piece of software: Google Sync End of Life.

In a statement, Google said that users will not be able to setup new devices to sync with their Google accounts using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol starting end of January 2013.

Just this morning, after installing several updates to Windows 7 and Microsoft Office (at work), my Outlook keeps on crashing and restarting. When I tried to trace the culprit (by turning OFF and ON the COM Add-ons), apparently it was the Google Calendar Sync module.

I am currently in search of ways to continue synching my Microsoft Outlook calendar with my Google’s. If you know any good alternative way for this, please do leave a comment in this post so that I may try myself.
