[UPDATE #1]

The rain did not stopped since around 1800H yesterday, Mon 06 AUG 2012. This resulted to major areas in the metropolis to be submerged in flood water as high as 12 meters in some areas.

With reference to Memorandum Circular No. 33 Series of 2012 issued by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa this morning (07 AUG 2012),work in government offices, private institution, and classes from Pre-school to College Level in the National Capital Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal are SUSPENDED today. Basis for the cancellation of work and classes is the recommendation of PAGASA.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
