Several months ago, I bought 3 plane tickets to Cebu (from Manila) availing of AirPhil Express’ promo. Last Friday, 22 Jun 2012 wifey, son, and I left Manila at around 0750H to start our weekend with some relaxing activities in the Queen City of the South.

It will be the first time for my son to ride a low cost carrier … first time for him to use the airsteps instead of boarding the plane via the jetway (tube) …

Aside from having the best deal on our airfares, I also managed to have a better deal for our hotel accommodation at the Cebu City Marriott. Tell me if a US$100 per night hotel room with buffet breakfast for two (02 + 01 since my son is less than 5 years old, he gets to eat FREE!), complimentary wired & wireless internet, rounds of bottled water, etc. isn’t a good deal.

Our room had a bath tub!

Awesome view of Ayala Center Cebu from the Executive Lounge, where we had our breakfast on Day 02 of our trip …

This is not my first time to be in Cebu, but this was the very first time I managed to visit the shrine of Magellan’s Cross and the Basilica of Sto. Niño …

Had our second night dinner by the pool area …

… then headed back to Manila on a Sunday afternoon.

I should say that Cebuano’s are way too disciplined than us living in Manila. Why? Look how tidy their streets are!

To commemorate my son’s very first 2P flight, I bought him this aircraft model (diecast) onboard our flight:

The last time I was in Cebu before this trip was in March. I might be back to this city in 3 month’s time, hopefully I can tag along some of the ReMo’s.
