Today, as we celebrate five (05) fruitful years of blogging, I am writing this article using my HP Mini 2133 — first post using the HP Mini. Indeed, a very portable device for bloggers, like me.
TurfSite Manila (my blog site at http://bobreyes.com) has been nominated in the 2008 DigitalFilipino.com Web Awards under the category Blog – Professional. Being nominated is such an honor, but being a co-nominee with Abe Olandres (YugaTech.com) is another thing. I had been reading his blog long before BobReyes.com had been established to a real web log
Announcement of winners will be on the 5th of next month.

I had just successfully upgraded the blog engine to WordPress 2.5, and I should say the wait is really worth it! I love the new administration interface, very refreshing to the eyes. And the newest feature of one-click upgrades for my plugins, it’s very very kewl! I was able to upgrade 10 plugins in under two minutes. Isn’t that amazing?
Yes, I am now tracking my most popular posts. Thanks to the Popularity Contest plugin for WordPress! Please do check out some of my popular (most visited/read) blog posts listed at the bottom of this page.
Just before 2007 ends, I changed the theme of my blog site and I missed something: Google Analytics code. I just noticed it today when I checked my stats. That’s around a week of data lost.
Thank you very much for your continued support and visits to my blog site. We had just reached the 80,000th hit mark! Advanced Merry Christmas to one and all!
Four (04) years ago, I simply wanted to have an online storage space and post my resume online, thus I purchased the domain bobreyes.com for my TurfSite Manila website. Months later, some of my friends asked if they can park their websites in my domain. This eventually led to the establishment of TurfSite Computing, Inc. (http://www.turfsiteph.net)
Now, the static website bobreyes.com has evolved to a CMS-driven Blog Website (thanks to WP!) — from the time that I was the one paying for my own webhosting fees, til today when people pays their webhosting dues to me and I earn from blogging.
