To all of my students, if you haven’t visited our MOODLE site recently, please be advised and informed that I shall be distributing the Course Cards on Tuesday, 04 SEP 2007 from 1800H to 2100H at SDA 1009.
To all of my students who are scheduled for their Finals Project Presentation & Defense for WEBPAGE (tomorrow, Friday the 24th) and for ECOMERS (both sections on Saturday, the 25th), they will push through, not unless the government will declare a suspension of classes tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
See you all. Good luck!
As declared by CHED, there will be NO classes (still) in Metro Manila tomorrow.
To all of my WEBPAGE & ECOMERS Students, I’ll be posting the list per batch for the Finals Project Presentation and Defense, as well as the requirements (if you were absent [or absent-minded] last week) for the Finals at the MOODLE site (http://moodle.csbsdamma.org if you still haven’t memorized).
Enjoy your weekend. Use it wisely. Start/Finish your Finals Project.

In accordance with the policy, classes and work in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde are therefore suspended. The Taft, AKIC and SDA campuses will be closed, except for the CSB Hotel, which shall remain open and fully operational.

To promote the interest of using MOODLE as a classroom extension, I was able to gain some guts and formed the Philippine MOODLE Users Group at Yahoo!Groups (since there is not a single brave soul that attempted to promote the use of MOODLE here in the Philippines).
If you wish to join the mailing list, please feel free to email me personally via [email protected] or visit http://groups.google.com/group/philmoodle

I was early in school, at around 1700H I am already at the new SDA Building (the newly-opened glass tower along Vito Cruz, Manila). Though I already know where my classroom (lab) will be, I still took time and went to the 14th floor (admin offices) to ask one of the secretaries where will my 6pm class be.
Oddly enough, she replied that my class was moved from the new building to the CSB CL1. Well, thanks for my being prompt, in about 10 minutes after, I was already having a snacks at the CSB Canteen.
Fifteen minutes before my class, I went to CL1 and from the door window, I saw Andy sited at the Teacher’s PC. I stayed at the hallway near CL1 observing the students who will enter my room minutes later — could they be my students this term in WEBPAGE? After the Angelus, I checked on the door window again, and saw Andy giving some instructions to the students inside CL1 — thinking that he is already wrapping-up his class. Five more minutes after, Andy is still inside the lab. With all due respect (hehe), I went inside CL1 and asked Andy if his class “was” there, too at CL1. I was surprised when he told me that his class is about to start, a 6-9pm BASICOM class! But wait, are we going to share rooms? Hehehe.
I immediately called the other secretary to inform that there is a conflict on the room assignments. Five more minutes later, the secretary confirmed that my room is indeed at the “new SDA building”! What?! :( Another 5 minutes of walking, with matching sweat, and I am at the elevator lobby (again) of the SDA building. I reached my “real” classroom at around 1830H already.
Even if my class will start on Friday, I took time out and visited the SDA Building yesterday just before 6pm. Benchmarked on how long will it take me to reach (after finding) my classroom. Took me only 10 minutes (the lift was really jampacked) to reach the 10th floor and eventually saw Cha Ong inside the lab.
The view was spectacular! I can see the roof of my parent’s house from the ML. Airconditioning is not yet fully operational (the temperature is better at the hallways than in the rooms). After some chit-chats with my fellow Web Track teachers, I realized that I haven’t taken my lunch yet (just had a quick snack). Asked Cha where the cafeteria (in CSB, it’s a canteen), and she replied that it is at the 12th floor.
Waited for 5-10 minutes getting a ride from the 10th to the 12th floor. Together with some of my former students, we were able to locate the Cafeteria — with only Danny’s Grill serving pork chops and caldereta for Php95! Since I am already starving, I decided to take the Php95 meal. But when I asked what beverages do they have, the attendant replied that they do not have any :D Ngek! I ended-up having my dinner (20 minutes later) at Jollibee instead.
