ASUS launched last 05 June 2007 an ultra-portable computer that weighs just 0.89 kg and has a 7″ LCD monitor dubbed as as EeePC 701 (Easy to learn, work, play; Excellent Internet experience and Excellent mobile computing experience).

The EeePC runs on a Intel mobile CPU and chipset, it is sold at US$200 (according to reports from my friends in Taiwan) with pre-installed Linux operating system. The good news is that it is Windows XP compatible (where are my bootleg installers?) and has 802.11 b/g WiFi!

If you are wondering what makes this piece of toy less than 1kg? It sports a 16GB flash disk instead of a hard disk one complimented with a 512MB of RAM. A 300K pixel video camera is already installed, as well as a built-in stereo speakers and microphone. Battery time can last up to 3 hours. By the way, for internet connectivity, there’s a 10/100 Mpbs NIC and 56K modem installed. Dimensions: 22.5 x 16.5 x 2.1~3.5cm.

Sad to say, it is still not available here in Manila.

Due to small size of chips use of laptop is increasing and particularly people are buying laptop batteries because it helps them to take their system anywhere. The laptop cases can help you to keep your laptop save. The asus laptop is best brand for performance.
