Tonight will be my first class in BASICOM (Basic Computer) — the very first time that I will be handling the subject. BASICOM is an offshoot of OFAPLIC (Office Applications), which is the prerequisite subject to all computer-related subjects of an MMA (Multimedia Arts) student in CSB.

Based on our meeting (fellow Web Track faculty) over the weekend, we decided to incorporate Open Source Softwares to BASICOM, side-by-side Microsoft Office Applications.

I am not expecting much from my students tonight, but I guess this will be an exciting one owing to the fact that I will be introducing them to the world of Open Source.
