Mozilla announces the appointment of Brendan Eich, current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective immediately.

Mozilla’s Alpha Nerd (according to CNet on this Q&A) became the CTO in August of 2005 and is known to be the Inventor of JavaScript.

I was fortunate enough to had met him twice in person: during MozCamp Asia 2012 (Singapore) and Mozilla Summit 2013 (Santa Clara, California):
