For the first time in five weeks after installation, my Smart Bro Wireless Internet was down. It was around 2130H last night, when my younger brother was surfing the internet that he complained of a lagging connection.

I checked for the possible problem(s), and found out that their DNS is dying (at that moment). Minutes later, there was not a single ping available: NO INTERNET CONNECTION.

I immediately called their technical support, and I was advised that there was a technical maintenance on-going at the base station (cell site). What?! A technical maintenance without prior advise? I was instructed to monitor if my internet connection will be back in service within 24 hours. Geez, do I really need to monitor that? So, 30 minutes after that conversation, I retired.

At 0800H this morning, I checked my PC, which has the Smart Bro connection, and it is still down. An hour and a half later, my internet connection is up! I only rant that the next time they do conduct a technical maintenance, they should advise their customers first.
