Pro-Poor Ba Ka Mo?

Author: Bob

I just find it funny yet irritating. I was watching Sentro tonight (the news program of ABC 5), and they have a feature about an ad hitting Jun Lozada that came out today in the dailies. It was supposed to be placed by this Pro-Poor groups, but when the reporter tried to trace the organizations listed in the ad, not a single one seems to be in existent. The thing there, for me, if they are indeed Pro-Poor, why come up with a full page ad, which costs Php250K++? How many “poor” people can that amount of money feed?

If you’re going to ask me, I think the ad is placed by someone who hates Jun Lozada. Who can it be? Do you think they came from the Palace? Maybe ..

I thought I knew it! With what’s going on in the news nowadays, the President declared 25 February 2008 as a WORKING HOLIDAY. WTH is that? It’s a holiday but we’re supposed to go to work?

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita has just announced that Monday, 25 February 2008 is a NON-WORKING HOLIDAY in commemoration of the Anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution.

That is the biggest question of the hour. For me personally, for the sake of delicadesa, she SHOULD RESIGN NOW. It is NOT the first time that the people, in my ways, had asked for her to step down. I think it’s high time for her to leave the post.

The next big question now is who will replace her? The law dictates that it’s Noli De Castro, but will he be of any good?

Just thinking aloud. GLORIA RESIGN NOW!

This one is taken from the post of Sir Ron Millevo off the SDA mailing list.

~~~~~~~~~~
Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe.
5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate was MARIO DIMAYUGA.
Bill Gates: “Thank you for coming. Those who do not know JAVA may leave.”
2,000 people left the room.
MARIO said to himself, “I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I’ll give it a try.”
Bill Gates: “Candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people may leave.”
2000 people left the room.
Mario said to himself, “I never managed anybody but myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?” So he stayed.
Bill Gates: “Candidates who do not have management diplomas may leave.”
500 people left the room.
Mario said to himself, “I left school at 15 but what have I got to lose?” So he stayed in the room.
Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serbo- Croat to leave.
498 people left the room.
Mario says to himself, “I do not speak one word of Serbo-Croat but what do I have to lose?”
So he stayed and found himself with one other candidate.
Everyone else had gone.
Bill Gates joined them and said “Apparently you two are the only candidates who speak Serbo-Croat, so I’d now like to hear you converse in that language.”
Calmly, Mario turned to the other candidate and said, “Kumusta ka, pare ko?”
The other candidate answered, “Mabuti naman, pare. Ikaw?”
For Jun Lozada!
Author: Bob
This post is in support of Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada, Jr.
I firmly believe that he is telling the truth. I believe the he was abducted kidnapped (with ranson — for him to sign some documents) at the NAIA when he arrived last Wednesday. I believe that what he is doing now is for the good of the country, and of his own family.
Mabuhay ka, Jun!
Microsoft offered a whooping US$44.6B (as in billion) bid for Yahoo!
To quote: “We have great respect for Yahoo, and together, we can offer an increasingly exciting set of solutions for consumers, publishers, and advertisers while becoming better positioned to compete in the online-services market,” Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said in a statement.
More of this from here.
What happens if this pushes through? Microsoft + Yahoo! =MY && MY to compete with Google?
