Netscape 9 Released
Netscape releases the 9th version of their browser today with the following set of features:
- Run Navigator 9 on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux!
- Share interesting stories you find with millions of people.
- Vote on stories submitted by others as your browse.
- Navigator will automatically correct common typos made in Web addresses.
- Examples: .cmo => .com, htp:// => http://, netscape,com => netscape.com
- News menu lets you access the latest news at any time, directly from the browser.
- Use the Link Pad as a holding area for interesting links that don’t merit bookmarking.
- Follow the latest Netscape.com news and comments right from the sidebar.
- Netscape.com members can monitor their friends’ stories and comments with this sidebar tool.
- Sign up for free at Netscape.com!
- Install any Firefox ® 2-compatible theme or extension.
- Browse through thousands of extensions at Mozilla Addons.
- Use the sidebar as a “mini browser” to keep a page in plain sight while you surf through other pages.
- Drag and drop links on the sidebar or right-click and choose “Open in Sidebar” to use the sidebar browser.
- Netscape.com members can get near-instant notification of new sitemail messages.
