A strong earthquake in Taiwan last 26th slows down the Internet connection within the Asian region. The same quake triggered a Tsunami Alert along the coastline of the Philippines Tuesday night. As of yesterday, Youtube.com and Yahoo.com seems to be not working properly, timeouts are received every now and then, but with Google and GMail, everything is working so fine.

Hope everything normalizes today.

Congratulations to the men and women of the Philippine Team to Doha 2006 15th Asian Games that concluded last night. We are truly proud of you!

The team brought home a total of four (04) Gold, six (06) Silver, and nine (09) Bronze medals, placing the country as the 18th overall leader out of some fifty plus countries and states.

Rose went to mass earlier today, the Children’s Mass (where I play). So we went to Glorietta earlier than usually. We had our lunch at around 1230H, kinda earlier than our usually Sunday. Since no better movie than Deck the Halls is showing, so we decided to watch it, anyway. The next screening time at Glorietta 4 is at 1430H, and it’s just 1300H so I told her that we pay Netopia EGG a visit. Took us around 20 minutes searching for the place in G4, and eventually found it — just beside the Oakwood entrance — outside of the mall .. hehehe ..

I asked the staff if my Netopia membership will be accepted, but it will not be. Huh?! The internet rate is at Php80 per hour — what?! So Rose and I decided to try their services out. It was crap! Holy crap! At 80 bucks per 60 ticks, the internet connection is just way a notch better than dial-up! Yes, a 56k dial-up. I told their staff of it, and they just replied that everything is OK — OK?! One even told that there must be someone downloading something. Huh?!

Not worth my Php80 and one hour .. -3 out of 5 stars ..
