Philippine Flag Day 2006
In celebration of the country’s 108th Independence Day this coming Monday, 12 June 2006. Mabuhay ang Republika ng Pilipinas!
However, on my way to the office this morning, I noticed several establishments in Makati displaying the flag vertical. Nothing is wrong with this, but it’s on how they display the flag vertically: most of them having the red color at the left side — which is wrong.
If my memory serves me right, we were taught during our Citizen’s Military Training in Secondary School (thanks to Lt. Benjie Duran!) that if ever you will be displaying the Philippine Flag vertically, the blue color should be at the left side. Why is this so? The rationale — it is assumed that the flag will be hoisted by someone standing at the right side of the flag pole.
I hope that with this information, everybody will be displaying our country’s flag properly.

SpreadSheets by Google
When news of Google launching a new service today, I immediately rushed to the Google Labs website to sign-up (waiting list) for the Google SpreadSheets. Within an hour or so, Google sent me an invite to test their new online service: the online counterpart of Microsoft’s Excel.
Here are some screenshots of my Google SpreadSheet:
Boyet at the PBA Forums ..
What do the people at the PBA Forums tell about Boyet Bautista:
“Bautista is a leader pg. He can organize the offense and give leadership in settling his teammates. Plus his shooting is like James’ Yap’s so he is a good shooter outside.”
“Boyet Bautista – Plays alot like Wynne Arboleda. What I like about him is his ‘I’m-not-scared-who-ever-you-are’ attitude.”
“2nd pick pde na si boyet bautista…pure point guard..mabilis and my tira pa sa labas…”
“I hope we can get Boyet Bautista in the second round. He’s the next best pointguard on the coming draft.”

Received an SMS from Medwin last night, and TrueFaith’s latest single Dahil Ikaw is now number 1 at the MyX charts. Congrats!
Is It Right?
Just thinking …
- For our police, especially the SWAT, to guard the suspected gang rapists — who happens to be under the US Marines? Aren’t they (PNP SWAT) supposed to protect the people of the Philippines, and not foreigners accused in Philippine courts?
- Can’t the US Embassy provide the necessary security arrangements for their citizens attending the hearing?
