With less than twenty-four (24) hours til the end of Y2005, we reminisce and reflect on the things we had done this year: good or bad.

With less than twenty-four (24) hours before Y2006, we take in to consideration the mistakes that we had made in Y2005 and will try our very best not to commit then again this year.

Happy New Year everyone! God bless us and our families. See you next year!

I was reading clipped news in my Palm M125 when I came accross the services of Avvenu (http://www.avvenu.com).

What is does is it lets you access your PC from anywhere, using either another PC’s web browser or your PDA. Tried using it, and wallah! I can now access my PC’s files wherever I am.

When Capt. Faeldon escaped after his hearing in Makati City last month, a website emerged at http://www.pilipino.org.ph citing his discontent on this government.

Last night, I had heard at the TV News that the Department of Justice is threathening to file “Inciting to Sedition” charges against him for calling a civil disobedience against the GMA government.

My opinion now is this:

What if the website is not really done by Capt. Faeldon? Let’s say, someone in the government created the website so that there will be a ground for “Inciting to Sedition” of Faeldo.
How strong is the ICT governance in the Philippines? Can they prove who did what? Can they shutdown a website without the owner’s permission?

Sure Seats No More!

Author: admin

Last Monday, Rose & I went to Glorietta to watch Enteng Kabisote 2. Since the que at Glorietta 1 is very long, we opted to watch at Glorietta 4: Sure Seats.

Though there was a que at the ticket counter, it’s a lot better than being in que at the Glorietta 1, wherein your seat is not guaranteed: as we had thought. It’s around 1500H when we bought our tickets, and we were scheduled for the 1810H screening.

Three (03) hours later, we have to fall in line the second time at the cinema lobby (stretches from Cinema 6 up to TimeZone near Burger King). With just a minute before the scheduled screening time, we were finally inside the cinema.

To our surprise, there were a lot of people standing — without any seats! Is this the new sure seats concept?!

When I finally managed to grab a seat for Rose (with me left still standing at the aisle), I asked the cinema attendant why is that happening. She didn’t replied, but instead led me to their office (just behind the ticket counters). There, I was met by this uncourteous cinema supervisor (a male) and asked me bluntly, “Ano ang problema?!” I told him that we waited for 3 long hours, fell in line twice, and paid Php120.00 each just to be standing inside the cinema, which should not be the case. In reply, he told me that, “Sir, may Festival po kasi, kaya may SRO.”

Huh?! There was not a single sign in the ticket counter that they are allowing SRO in the cinemas!

This is the new concept of Sure Seats in the Ayala Cinemas.

As the lyrics of a popular APO Hiking Society song goes: “Tuloy na tuloy pa rin ang Pasko!” indeed, in less than 24 hours from now, it’s Christmas Day!

Just two nights ago, the faculty of the Multimedia Arts Program of De La Salle - College of St. Benilde’s School of Design & Arts Department had their Christmas Party at the Booze Stop Grilled in Makati City. And I should say, indeed it was a blast! Half of the Web Track was there, atleast. Thanks to the gift of Sir Jag Garcia, as he picked me up for our exchange gifts thingy.

Prior to the party, the school formally ended TRIM 2 of SY 2005-2006 with Course Cards Distribution that day, the 22nd. If only you were there to witness the smiling faces for some of my students, and of course, there are those who just frowned with their grades. Hehehe.

Just read the email from our Track Leader, Janice Villaverde today, and I will be handling two classes next term, which is already starting by the 4th of January 2006. I will have one BASICOM (OFAPLIC 2?) and a class for OFMULTI. Wow!

Merry Christmas to all!

Here are some things to ponder on:

* At the intersection of West Service Road and Merville Access Road, there is always traffic jam even if there is a Pasay City Traffic Officer. Hey, what was that? The drivers of all the jeepneys that passes by the “chocolate boy” officer either throws or gives something to him. Can that be food? I don’t think so ‘coz it’s so small. Can that be a piece of paper? Probably, yes! But what’s in the paper?

* How can government agencies reply to emails sent by the taxpayers, when their mailboxes are already full? Do they ever read emails?
