The Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights grabbed their 16th league-wise championship yesterday at the Big Dome, 62-54 in the deciding best of three game.

The Knights did not gave last year’s champs, the PCU Dolphins, any chance to grab any lead during the entire game. Yes, there were several deadlocks, but not a single chance for the Taft Avenue-based squad to capture the lead.

Coach Louie Alas was named Best Coach of Season 81, while my cousing, Boyet Bautista as Finals MVP. My brother, together with Tito Ludy & Tita Chit (Boyet’s Dad & Mom) with some close friends were at the Big Dome to support the Knights.

Arriba Letran!
